Sidenote: picture overload
Up early and on the road
First Stop: Kono's for breakfast on Mission Beach. This place is so yummy and gives a big bank for your buck!
Sailor's reaction to touching the sand for the first time. haha
Seryn's first taste of the Pacific Ocean sand...yum. She WOULD NOT stop crawling over off of the towels onto the sand. She loved grabbing handfuls of it!
The picture above and below are of the girls playing the "Bat Game."
Both of them crack up! It's so cute to watch. Chase or I will hold Seryn like she's flying and chasing after Sailor. Sailor runs and runs away from "the bat" and they laugh on and on.
The awesome feeling of sand in the toes!
We visited the Mormon Battalion Center in Downtown San Diego. EVERYONE should go there if you are ever in the area.
Such a big girl! Ser loved chilling on the hotel beds!
Sea World!
Sailor was grossed out by this sea lion, and I don't blame her. He was sitting there swaying back and forth in the sunlight with chunks of food all over him. He must've just been fed...I decided sea lions are funny looking, especially if you keep staring at this picture...
Oh happy day for Sailor....it's ELMO
Shark Tank.
Turtle Reef.
Fiesta de Reyes in Downtown San Diego. Sailor was dancing along.
Sailor completely biffed it on the concrete as we were walking around. She had blood running down her face....poor girl. We 'had' to get her ice cream to help the swelling.
San Diego Temple
This is the 'Visitor's Center.' A cute missionary couple sit outside of the temple and show people material about the temple.
Finally, at Balboa Park. This picture is on a trolley.
Last but not least, a little reminder to smile! Chase and I may have had a few disputes over the course of our little vacation so when Chase saw this as he was washing his hands we couldn't help but smile. Our moods changed a bit after that. :)
I love all of your pictures Kiya! It looks like you guys had a blast. I am jealous of how close you are to the beach. Lucky! And honestly, I just cannot imagine you and Chase having a dispute. It makes me laugh just thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Love the pictures! Your whole family us so photogenic and you are really good at taking pictures, kiya! I am so glad you decided to go and spend that much needed tune together.
ReplyDeleteYay! I can look at your blog again! For whatever reason, I haven't been able to view it, even after logging in. I just spent a middle- of- the night feeding catching up! :)
How fun! You've posted so much I haven't seen, how have I been slacking! Sand is amazing, I miss going to a beach, it's been forever! Maybe we could go to a beach near Disneyland!
