Gingerbread Houses

Our great friends, the Jackmans, invited us over so we (uh humm...I mean the kids) could decorate their very own HOMEMADE (the Jackmans out-did themselves) gingerbread houses.  Needless to say, it was a lot of fun.  Nothing like sitting around chatting and bugging the kids over stuffing their faces with candy instead of frosting it to their houses.  By the end of the evening, there was more candy on the kiddos faces then there was on the all the houses combined.  :)  Eventually the kids got a sugar high and ran it all off by chasing each other around the house, which was about the time the parents took over and attempted to be artistic.

Sailor put these two candy canes together and exclaimed, "I made a heart!"  Clever girl.

Speaking of gingerbread house making, a week after that, a friend- Nicole-invited 9 girls over for a gingerbread competition. She provided everyone of the gingerbread houses- what a woman! We all had such a blast decorating, chatting, and snacking.  After we decorated, Nicole had a prize for everyone there...she DEFINITELY out-did herself.  Good times!
