Sailor's Ear Piercing

It was all fun in games at the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall...

 ...until S1 sat in the Claire's ear piercing chair...

...that's when her game face came on!

 

 Sailor braved it out!  After Chase suggested we take the girls to get their ears pierced, we went on over to Claire's to check it out.  The girls in charge seemed young, but competent enough to do the procedure so my nerves started to disappear.  Sailor knew it would be a little poke but didn't know when exactly it was going to happen.  She was nervous the whole time prior to, but extra sensitive to the fact that the piercing surprised her a bit.  Once she calmed down, we grabbed the mirror to show her the new bling and she reluctantly smiled behind the wet tears. 

 Seryn was climbing up into the chair for her turn until Sailor exclaimed, 

"DON'T, SERYN!"

"That WILL hurt you and you will cry!"

Those two sentences instantly changed Seryn's mind.

After coaxing her into the chair for a minute we knew it wasn't going to be the right time for her.

I mean, it's probably not the best idea to wrestle a toddler down while piercing holes into her body.

Overall, it was a success and 6 weeks later we changed them out for the first time and Sailor was infatuated with the idea of wearing mommy's earrings

(especially the colorful, Christmas jingle bells).
