The Christmas Holiday

Like I said in the last post, the girls had a mini-Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa Jackson before heading to WA for the holiday.  They most fun & exciting was this art desk.  My girls love to draw/color/paint and do multiple times a day so this was perfect!

Chase had to work on Christmas Eve, but we were able to leave around noon to get to WA in time for the Christmas Eve festivities.  Every year it's hosted at my mom's parents' house & every year the agenda is the same.

1) Feast
2) Nativity Program
3) Talent Show
4) Gift Exchange.

The girls played a part in the Nativity which I wasn't able to get pictures of since I was helping the kiddos do their thing but they sure loved dressing up as a white & black sheep.

The talent show is always fun to look forward to.  This year was especially fantastic.  Again, I got too involved that I wasn't able to record the hilarious talents this year! DRATS.

My family represented well this year!
My younger bros and bro-in-law did a rendition of "Tight Pants." My sis Madi was at the piano and my dad brought some base on his drums.  It was perfect.
Here's a link to the real skit:
(excuse the single explicit) :)
They found the best white pants and coordinating 70's tops & wigs at Goodwill and did shake their stuff well.

The current "Killian Korn" workers (Madi, my uncle, & two cousins) did their thing introducing themselves as the Killian Korn Khoir.  They were so nice to let Chase come in at the end and do his thing......

"The Sexy Sax-Man!"
Yeah, that gross man in the mullet is Chase.  He did perfect.
If you haven't seen this youtube sensation here' a link:
(you don't need to watch the entire thing.)

Pretty much this guy comes into public areas and starts playing "Careless Whisper " by the one and only George Michael.

Chase did the same.  Interrupting their skit and then a couple times later through out the night.  He was PERFECT.

Once the talents were all said and done, the adults sat down for the exchange and things got a tad serious.  My aunt was in the middle of announcing the big Christmas gift to my grandparents (which was from all my mom's siblings and spouses), which was a family cruise to Sitka, Alaska.  Right as my aunt starts to announce the cruise, Chase bursts through the front door (from the outside) and started playing the song again.  That was the most perfect moment of the night--the timing was RIGHT on!

...here's the classiest of all gifts at the exchange.

The girls got to open their Christmas Eve present which were their new pjs.  The girls squealed and yelled when they opened these babies up.  Another thing I WISH i recorded!  Like every other little girl on the planet...they are obsessed with Elsa and Anna and sing every lyric.

Sisters with the Grandparents

Christmas morning at my parents!

Christmas gathering with my dad's family always occurs the day after Christmas.
We do dinner & a gift exchange as well.

It's always great to visit and catch up with aunts, uncles, & cousins.  We all grew up together in our tiny town so it's fun to see all of us come together with new spouses and kids each year.  There's nothing much better than family at Christmas time!
