I love it when family comes into town! It doesn't happen that often, so when it does it feels like a party the entire time! We've stayed busy shopping, swimming, watching episodes of "Melissa and Joey," making smoothies, hiking, and taking pictures. When Madison's around I just laugh and laugh...I love her sense of humor! She is so fun to sit down and chat with for hours on end. Madi expresses herself so easily- she tells me anything and everything which I happen to love about her. She is so special as well as a great example to me. I love you Mads! She is here for another week, so let the party continue!!
Fourth of July morning consisted of Chase, Madi, and I spent the morning watching "The Amazing Spiderman" while the girls played at a friends' house. We had a BBQ, and lit sparklers and firecrackers that evening. We then ended the evening with some homemade ice cream with some other friends. Awww--good times. The night before the 4th we turned on netflix and decided to watch "The Patriot." Unbeknownst to us it was the perfect way to jump start our patriotic spirit (the WW1 theme of the movie, not necessarily the revenge story- ha) . I am infinitely grateful for all those involved in the military past and present, for strong-wholesome leaders, and values that the foundation of our country was built upon. I am forever grateful to be an American! Our country is so blessed and we should all take a stand to preserve it's 'goodness'-for lack of better word.
RED. WHITE. BLUE. :)
