...ok, everyone knock on wood with me on the count of three......1.2.3...whew, ok I feel better now. :)
Back to the topic of good friends...
... we have some that invited us to go with them for a fun, over-night resort, Father's Day weekend/June birthdays trip...everything about it was perfect! We went in together on a room and spent time at the lazy river, pools, and mini-golf. The lazy river was our family's favorite activity. The girl's enjoyed floating alongside our tubes with their water wings. We caught Seryn numerous times spinning in circles, kicking off the walls, bobbing her head in and out of the water, and then simply floating on her back relaxing as the current carried her down the river. She ate up every second of it. Sailor enjoyed it as well but loved balancing on the tubes....good times!
Seryn was being such a ham! The top picture and the few below are pictures that Seryn composed herself. She doesn't talk much at all, but she would hit me to get my attention and get into her position, point at my camera and nod her head "yes", then she would plaster the cheesiest smile across her sweet, kissable face! It was adorable! Then, of course, she'd run over to me and want to look at the digital copy on the back of my camera. She is usually tough to get pictures of but for some reason this evening she wanted her portraits done.

| See her finger pointing downward? That's her signaling she wanted her picture taken in that spot. |

| Again, she hit me, ran over and stumbled over rocks to get to the edge of this part of the lazy river, looked up, and CHEESED! |
Doesn't the picture above look like it was taken in an exotic location?? Nope, this is in the desert, 20 miles away from our home. We certainly felt like we were on vacation though. Sailor is posed with our good friend Lexi- she is just a month older than Ser.
After spending hours outside at the pools, Chase, the girls, and I came in and ate a little dinner in our room. I packed food for the short little trip and it was so worth it. We started playing a game of "restaurant" and the girls just cracked up as Chase and I tried talking with accents (some more recognizable than others) as we served them their food and taught them the proper ways to act in a "fancy restaurant."
Bathtime proceeded dinner time. The kids were hilarious. Kayla and I weren't getting any smiles for the camera so we started dancing for them and still not a ton. The reactions didn't come until they all started to burst out in the fakest laughs I've ever heard. Because kids feed off of one another, it turned out to be a giant giggle war which was loads a fun for us to watch.
That evening we all stayed up WAY too late as the kids ran around, ate popcorn, and sort of watched a movie. The adults visited and played a few rounds of "Apples to Apples."
The morning came and we were back at the pools and took turns down the resort's incredibly fast slide. After spending the morning swimming, we packed our bags and headed to "Cafe Rio" for lunch.
We returned home and all took a long nap. And to top off the day, we went to a Willa Wonka Candy Themed 2-year old Birthday Party that evening where we indulged in MORE swimming, bbq, and WAYYYYY too much candy and treats...
....see, I told you we have great friends! ;)

Miss you guys and all those beautiful smiles!
